Tewa on People Daily!!!

On 18th January 2017 I was privileged to be part of the "Controlled Accidents" Exhibition opening event at the Polka Dot gallery in Karen. This was a solo exhibition featuring works by the Master artist Yony Waite.Since this was her first exhibition in 2017, it had to be a good one.I really enjoyed her wise words and Inspiration.Above all I found myself on the People Daily (20th January) Newspaper. What a good way to start a Year!!!

My First Cartoon Drawing Workshop.

So last December I was privileged to teach five Kids how to create their own cartoon characters. This being my first time teaching I felt special since they were more than willing to learn from me.They treated me as a master and I treated them as my assistants. The most interesting part was as one kid was drawing two lovers, the other one was more into drawing villains and scary characters. I really loved my first Kids workshop and I'm planning to do more of this.Special thanks to Lara Ray of Polka Dot gallery in Karen for the opportunity and also to my good friend Siyolo for coming through with your sister to help us understand the kids.

Introducing Mr. Polka

Mr. Polka is a real Kenyan art lover who is introducing you to the vibrant Kenyan art scene. This was my first time animating.I was a bit slow but finally I managed to upload something.A big shout out to Angela Macharia the female voice in the animation.Something amazing is that the day she recorded the voice is the same day we first met.A big thank you to Alex Ngugi the Music producer & Benjamin Okoth who came through as the male voice actor. Finally a big thank you to Lara Ray of Polka Dot Gallery Karen for believing in my abilities.
